Portland Book Launch November 3
An evening about the leadership shifts
that change careers.
You’re Invited
Tuesday evenings are precious. There’s family, unfinished work, and life waiting for you.
So if you’re going to spend an evening out, it should give something back.
A Conversation That Matters
This one is built around a question that matters to so many accomplished professionals:
The Sought-After Leader was written to answer that question.
On November 3, the ideas come to life through candid conversation, fresh perspectives, laughter, and a few surprises.
Stay afterward for dinner, conversation, signed books, photos, and celebration.
Walk out with fresh ideas, new connections, and a bigger sense of what’s possible.

The Book Behind the Evening
The Sought-After Leader explores why highly capable professionals can spend years doing excellent work and still be overlooked for bigger opportunities.
And what changes when they learn to create strategic impact, communicate with influence, build authority, and develop the relationships that make others want them in the room.
Uma has written a leadership book for serious professionals who want their impact to be recognized at the level it deserves.Scott HanselmanVice President, Member of Technical Staff, Microsoft/GitHub
Uma names what nobody talks about: the gap between being great and being sought-after. It’s not a capability gap. It’s a visibility and perception gap.Dora VanourekExecutive Coach and Advisor
